Double-insulated ISOTYP 90 S soldering iron delivering 90 W at 230 V, designed primarily for telecommunications work. The ERSA ISOTYP 90 S is a double-insulated hand soldering iron for 230 V with a nominal output of 90 W, used primarily in telecommunications. Its double insulation places the iron in protection class 2, so the usual protective earth conductor is not required. This allows work on energised telecommunication installations without disrupting telecom operation.

Every iron is heated with 10 % overvoltage and then tested for dielectric strength at 3500 V~; in addition, the heating element is checked for water-tightness. The iron is supplied with packaging, an ERSADUR long-life soldering tip (0082 KD) and a holder (0A04). The standard tip is chisel-shaped, bent, 4.8 mm.
