On fine pitch parts the inside diameter of the desoldering tip decides whether the solder is drawn off completely or whether a remnant stays in the hole and holds the lead. With 0.8 mm inside and 1.9 mm outside this tip sits close around the lead without overrunning the pad, and the heavily tinned H version moves heat into the joint faster.

Application
