In rework it is often not the surface area that sets the limit but the build height underneath the board. As standard there are exactly 35 mm between the assembly and the heating cassette of the HR 600. In this version the cassette sits lower and the gap is 65 mm, which gives 30 mm of extra component clearance below the board.
What the lowered cassette is for
- Heat sinks, upright electrolytics, transformers, shielding cans and tall connectors on the underside find room without stripping the assembly first.
- Boards populated on both sides lie flat in the holder instead of resting on one tall part and sitting at an angle.
- The larger distance to the bottom emitter belongs in the temperature profile. Measurement runs on the Accu-TC sensor placed on the assembly anyway, joined by the contactless IR sensor and two type K inputs.
- Everything else stays as in the base build. 3200 W of heating power, components from 1 x 1 mm to 50 x 50 mm, placement to 25 µm, board holder 390 x 300 mm.
