High-mass joints draw more heat out of the tip than a typical 80 W iron can replace, the joint goes cold and the operation drags. The Ersa i-CON VARIO 2 HP ships with the i-Tool HighPower, the strongest iron in the range, and delivers 250 W into a 12 mm wide tip.

• Antistatic supply unit with interfaces to Ersa fume extraction units and preheating plates.
• Configuration by microSD card, which is also how firmware versions are loaded.

Antistatic control station (0ICV203HP), i-Tool HighPower 250 W soldering iron (0240CDJ), 12 mm wide soldering tip (0242CDLF120) and holder (0A57).

Compatibility

Supported tools are i-Tool HighPower (0240CDJ), i-Tool (0100CDJ), Chip-Tool Classic (0450MDJ), Chip-Tool Vario (0460MDJ), Micro-Tool (0270BDJ), Tech-Tool (0640ADJ) and Power-Tool (0840CDJ). X-Tool Classic (0720EDJ) and X-Tool Vario (0740EDJ) run only with the 0CU100 vacuum unit. The station is optimised for the HighPower tool and cannot drive an Air-Tool.

Applications

Cable assembly, sheet metal and enclosure joints, transformer and power electronics work, and any task where large metal areas have to be brought up to temperature quickly.
