Removing a component and repopulating the site cleanly are two operations that usually occupy two separate units on the bench. The Ersa i-CON VARIO 2 handles both in one: the X-Tool vario desoldering iron works with up to 700 mbar of vacuum while the 150 W i-Tool resolders on the second channel.

Repair and modification of populated assemblies, component replacement on plated-through boards, failure analysis and small series. Handling removal and refit on one unit keeps bench space requirements low.
