On smooth industrial floors the outsole decides, inside an EPA the resistance does. The FUSE TC DISC LOW covers both, it carries the SR marking for tested slip resistance and keeps the person, shoe and floor system below 100 MOhm as DIN EN 61340-5-1 requires. PUMA Safety lists it as S1PS to EN ISO 20345:2022, entirely metal-free and closed by the DISC dial instead of laces.

What sets this low shoe apart

• Fit adjustment sits on the dial. The PUMA DISC closure tightens the upper without steps and works with gloves on. No loose lace to catch in a trolley, and it can be readjusted during the shift when the foot swells.
• ESD dissipation with a documented limit. The antistatic band of 10 to the 5th to 10 to the 9th ohm from EN ISO 20345 is not enough for an ESD workplace. What counts is the system value below 100 MOhm to DIN EN 61340-5-1, which the ESD version of this model meets.
• What S1PS means in practice. Closed heel, antistatic build, energy absorbing heel region, fuel resistant outsole and penetration protection. The S behind the P marks the non-metallic insert tested with the 3.0 mm nail under EN ISO 20345:2022.
• A 200 joule cap, not a gram of metal. The fibreglass cap passes the test at 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression. Together with the textile FAP insert the shoe stays completely metal-free, which saves weight and helps where metal detection is in use.
• An outsole that moves with the foot. The dual density PU naturalFLEXMOTION sole with its iCell element is deliberately built for flex, and the wafer tread grips above all on smooth industrial floors. The manufacturer explicitly rates the model as very light.
• Climate for a full shift. The Evercushion MAX footbed and the breathable BreathActive lining move moisture away from the foot, while the microfibre and sandwich mesh upper stays permeable.
