Feeding the right amount of solder per contact is the usual struggle when pin rows are soldered in one pass. The bevelled face of this 4.0 mm tip forms an inclined wetting surface that carries a defined pool of solder and releases it in portions as the tip moves on.

Why it works

• A bevelled face instead of a narrow blade, the inclined ellipse carries a visible solder pool during drag soldering.
• Nominal size 4.0 mm, matched to the pitch of pin headers and multipole connectors.

Intended for drag soldering on pin headers, through hole connectors and rows of solder tags. Fits the 9018M and 9018BMT soldering robot tools and therefore the ET9181, 9594FYA, ET9494E, 9584EYA and ET9494F-A robots plus further models of the range. Supplied as a single tip.
