A chisel tip passes heat along its whole edge rather than through a single point. At 1.6 mm this SS1 tip covers the size range where most hand soldering actually happens, through-hole parts, pin headers and wire ends, and brings the joint up to temperature quickly without heating the neighbouring pads.

Features

• Edge width of 1.6 mm, the face sits flat on pad and lead and shortens the contact time at the joint.
• Straight version, the edge runs along the axis of the iron and stays in view as it is placed.
• Cartridge design with heater and sensor close behind the tip, so temperature recovers quickly after each joint.

For electronics repair, rework and assembly on the QUICK TS1 cordless iron rated 10 W with a range of 100 to 420 °C. Scope of delivery, one soldering tip. It fits the cartridge holder of the TS1 only, further shapes in the SS1 series cover finer and wider work.
