A repair bench changes jobs constantly, a surface mount resistor, then a plug contact, then a stranded wire. This conical cartridge with a 1.2 mm point covers that middle ground, because it still lands accurately while carrying more heat than the 1.0 mm version of the same range.

What the in-between size gives you

• A 1.2 mm point noticeably increases contact area over 1.0 mm without giving up access in crowded areas.
• The stronger cross section stores more heat, so temperature holds longer on plug contacts and stranded wire.
• The conical form works from the flank or from the point, so one tip handles both fine and medium joints.
• 200 W class, with headroom to recover when joints follow each other quickly.
• Tip and heater form one cartridge. Quick quotes roughly 3 seconds from room temperature to 300 °C for the range, measured on the 1.6 mm tip.
• Thermocouple inside the tip and a chip holding the calibration value, so the station reading stays comparable after a change.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Suited to small and medium pads, component leads, smaller through-hole contacts, connectors and fine tracks in service, assembly, repair and rework. Where space gets tighter, use the 1.0 mm TSS10C-B or the slim TSS10C-B-03, and for high mass joints the chisel tips TSS10C-4.2D-01 and TSS10C-5D. The tip ships as a single cartridge and fits the Quick TS10 station only.
