Tall capacitors, heatsinks and shield frames block the route to the joint. The TSS08-1.6D02 answers that with a slim extended neck, its 1.6 mm wide, 0.7 mm thick blade sits well forward and can be guided to the pad between neighbouring parts.

For repairs inside populated assemblies, on connectors in deep housings, on pads beside tall components and for microscope work. Where the joint drains a lot of heat, the short taper TSS08-1.6D01 is the better choice. The tip fits the QUELKTSS80A iron of the Quick TS8 and TS8+ stations. Supplied as one cartridge tip without iron or station.
