Heavy leads on terminals and pin headers no longer fit into a narrow groove. The TSS08-5DU01 opens the cow foot groove to 2.6 mm, nearly twice the 1.4 mm version, and wraps around thicker pins across an overall chisel width of 5 mm.

Operating benefits

• 2.6 mm cow foot groove, it grips heavier leads and heats pin and pad at the same time.
• Overall width of 5 mm, the widest cow foot shape in this range, so pads beside the lead are reached as well.
• Blade thickness of 0.5 mm, a flat blade for closely spaced rows on pin headers.
• 2 mm of pre-tinned zone, limited to the area that actually works inside the joint.
• Thermocouple in the cartridge, it reports the heat drawn on touch down at every new pin.
• Calibration chip in the tip, the value stays assigned to the tip and is read by the station.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Intended for leaded power components, terminal blocks, pin headers with heavier pins and repairs on through-hole assemblies. Scope of delivery, one cartridge soldering tip. It runs in the QUELKTSS80A handpiece of the Quick TS8 and TS8+ stations. For thinner wires the same design offers the 1.4 mm groove at 3 mm width, both belong to the TSS08R series and swap on the same handpiece.
