Correcting a single joint on a densely populated board calls for access and control rather than surface area. This cartridge tapers to a 1.0 mm conical point and delivers heat where the point sits down, instead of spreading it across the surrounding area.

What the 1.0 mm point does day to day

• The slim 1.0 mm taper reaches contacts between components that are already fitted, without touching neighbouring pads.
• The conical shape lets you work with the flank or with the very point, depending on how much heat the joint tolerates.
• Rated in the 200 W class, so even a fine point does not lose temperature the moment it touches down.
• Tip and heater form one cartridge. Quick quotes roughly 3 seconds from room temperature to 300 °C for the range, measured on the 1.6 mm tip.
• The thermocouple sits inside the tip, which shows most clearly as fast recovery when the contact area is small.
• An onboard chip stores the individual calibration value, keeping the station reading comparable after a change.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Intended for small pads, fine tracks, narrow component leads, smaller through-hole contacts and connectors in service, assembly, repair and rework. For longer contact rows and higher heat demand the chisel shapes of the range are the stronger choice, for example TSS10C-4.2D-01 or TSS10C-5D. If a slimmer body is needed for recessed contacts, Quick lists the TSS10C-B-03 with the same point diameter. The tip ships as a single cartridge and fits the Quick TS10 station only.
