On terminal strips and connectors, approaching every pin separately costs time and brings a fresh temperature dip at each touch down. This cartridge offers instead an 8.0 mm edge bevelled at 45 degrees with a 3.0 mm blade thickness, long enough to reach several contacts at once.

What the 45 degree edge allows

• An 8.0 mm edge length covers linear contact rows, so the tip does not have to be repositioned between pins.
• The 45 degree bevel gives two working modes, the edge for a narrow line or the bevelled face for more contact.
• A 3.0 mm blade is the largest heat reservoir among the TSS10 shapes, so temperature falls off more slowly on high mass strips.
• Drawn along the row, the bevelled face carries surplus solder with it, which cuts down bridges between adjacent pins.
• Tip and heater form one cartridge. Quick quotes roughly 3 seconds from room temperature to 300 °C for the range, measured on the 1.6 mm tip.
• Thermocouple inside the tip and a chip holding the calibration value, so the station reading stays comparable after every change.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Intended for linear contacts, terminal rows, solder lugs, connectors and joints that are accessible from the side, in service, assembly, repair and rework. For shorter rows and tighter spacing the range offers the smaller knife shapes TSS10C-SK at 5.0 mm and TSS10C-SK-01 at 4.5 mm, and for single small pads a conical cartridge. The tip ships as a single cartridge and fits the Quick TS10 station only.
