At close pitch every tenth of a millimetre of tip width counts. This cartridge works with a 0.8 mm face on a 0.6 mm blade, making it the narrowest of the three straight TSS11 chisels. Despite the small working face, temperature arrives quickly, three seconds from 20 °C to 300 °C on the TS11.

What sets this tip apart

• 0.8 mm of width on a 0.6 mm blade lands on a single pad without touching the neighbouring contact.
• The flat chisel face transfers more heat than a round point of the same width, because it makes surface contact rather than point contact.
• Heat-up of three seconds to 300 °C, so the iron is ready almost immediately after switch on.
• Working range of 100 to 450 °C on the TS11, covering sensitive components through to lead free alloys.
• Tip and heater form one unit, so heat crosses no plug connection, and the built in thermocouple monitors temperature right at the working face.
• Tip changes need no extra tool, so switching to another shape costs almost no bench time.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Intended for delicate work on pads, pins, connectors and printed circuit boards, so for prototyping, repair, rework and laboratory use. Where more heat is needed, the TSS11-1.2D and TSS11-1.6D fit the same handpiece with a wider working face. Delivery is one cartridge tip, which fits the Quick TS11 soldering station.
