On connectors and solder lugs the shape of the contact face matters more than raw wattage. This cartridge brings a 5.0 mm edge bevelled at 45 degrees with a 2.5 mm blade to the row, so several contacts are worked in sequence without hunting for position each time.

How this size differs from its neighbours

• A 5.0 mm edge suits connectors of medium length, where the 8.0 mm TSS10C-K would already overshoot the target.
• The 2.5 mm blade holds enough heat for solder lugs and terminal rows while staying slimmer than the heavy K shape.
• The 45 degree grind allows work with the narrow edge or flat on the bevelled face, depending on access.
• Drawn along the row, the bevelled face takes surplus solder with it, so bridges between adjacent pins occur less often.
• Tip and heater form one cartridge. Quick quotes roughly 3 seconds from room temperature to 300 °C for the range, measured on the 1.6 mm tip.
• Thermocouple inside the tip and a chip holding the calibration value, so the reading stays comparable across changes.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Suited to linear contacts, terminal rows, solder lugs, connectors and joints reachable from the side, in service, assembly, repair and rework. For long strips with high heat demand the 8.0 mm TSS10C-K is the stronger choice, for closer spacing the TSS10C-SK-01 with its 4.5 mm edge. Single small pads are better handled with a conical cartridge. The tip ships as a single cartridge and fits the Quick TS10 station only.
