Applications

The cartridge is used at hand soldering benches in electronics production, repair and prototype work. The narrow chisel face matches through hole leads, chip packages and terminal blocks on mixed technology boards. The higher tip temperature covers joints with a larger heat demand, for example on multilayer boards.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The STTC-198 cartridge fits the MX-H1-AVA and MX-RM3E hand pieces and runs on the Metcal MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 systems.
