Soldering tip bevelled 30° 1.78 x 11.7 mm 412 °C STTC series - Metcal STTC-105

On Metcal SmartHeat stations the working temperature is selected through the cartridge instead of the power unit. The STTC series STTC-105 is a solder cartridge bevelled at 30° with a 1.78 mm tip width and 11.7 mm tip length, rated at a fixed tip temperature of 412 °C. It is intended for standard applications where ground planes or lead free solder draw a lot of heat.

Technical data

Applications

Drag soldering of fine pitch devices, connector headers and pin strips, plus rework on larger pads and ground planes. The bevelled face holds solder and carries it evenly across a row of leads.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge fits the MX-H1-AVA, MX-RM3E hand pieces and works on the MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 systems. Changing tip shape or temperature means swapping the cartridge during operation. The order unit is one piece, supplied as a single STTC-105 solder cartridge without hand piece and without power unit.
