The combination filter cassette is the complete main filter for ULT extraction units of the ASD 160 and ASD 200 series. It combines particle separation and activated carbon gas adsorption in a single cassette, cleaning the extracted air flow of fine dust and gaseous pollutants.

How it works

ULT combines two principles in this series, particle separation for dust and adsorption for gaseous substances. Gaseous compounds attach to the surface of the activated carbon, and in physical adsorption the adsorbed substance undergoes no chemical change. The filter design is matched to the nominal airflow of the units so that contact time remains sufficient. The cleaned air can be returned to the workspace provided no carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances are being extracted.
