Laser fume is generated inside enclosed machines with narrow extraction cross sections, where vacuum matters more than volume. The ULT LAS 260 HD.16 FK produces up to 22,000 Pa of vacuum while moving 160 m³/h at 6,500 Pa, cleaned through a filter chain up to class H14 with a downstream activated carbon stage.
Benefits
- High-pressure turbine with maintenance-free EC drive, 1.2 kW, maximum vacuum 22,000 Pa
- Filter chain of particulate filter cassette F9 (ULT 02.1.711), particulate filter H14 (ULT 02.1.721) and adsorption filter with approx. 10 kg activated carbon
- H14 HEPA filter to DIN EN 1822 with a particle separation rate of 99.995 %
- Volume flow control keeps capture constant despite increasing filter loading
- Particulate filter loading indicator and a noise level of 60-70 dBA for use in production areas
- Memory filter system with low contamination filter change

Applications
The unit is intended for extraction at laser cutting, laser marking, laser structuring and laser engraving systems that produce both particles and gaseous decomposition products. Laser fume is a toxic, corrosive mixture of aerosols, gases and nanoparticles whose composition depends on the material processed. The high vacuum allows long hose runs and extraction from fully enclosed processing chambers.
Operation
After filtration the clean gas can be returned to the working area in recirculation mode, so no heat is lost. Recirculation is not permitted when carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances are extracted; the clean gas then has to be ducted into a central exhaust system.
Compatibility and scope of delivery
Supplied with the filter module fitted and the storage filter stages listed above including the activated carbon fill. All filters are replaced completely once saturated and can be reordered individually as genuine ULT spare parts. Hoses and capture elements are selected separately to suit the laser system.
Class H14 is defined in DIN EN 1822, the pre-filter stage is classified to ISO 16890.
