An Ecotile ESD floor needs one grounding tile per 60 m². This 7 mm tile in the 497 × 497 mm format clicks into the floor like any other tile, links the conductive grounding tape of the area to earth and is connected by an earthing cable to an earthing plug or earthing rail as described in the installation instructions.

Applications

Grounding of ESD floors made of Ecotile interlocking tiles of the same thickness in EPAs for electronics production, repair and test stations, laboratories and stores for ESD sensitive components. According to the manufacturer the floor reduces dust and noise and insulates against cold and moisture from the subfloor.

Standards and quality

According to the manufacturer the X500 ESD tiles comply with BS EN 61340-5-1, IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20-2014. The stated test standards are EN 1081 for electrical resistance and EN 1815 for body voltage. Made in the United Kingdom to ISO 9001 from REACH compliant PVC.
