Fine stranded conductors belong in a screw terminal only with a ferrule, otherwise the single strands spread and the contact becomes unreliable. These wire end ferrules for the nominal size 2.5 mm² have a polypropylene insertion funnel and come in a pack of 200 pieces.

Advantages

• Insertion funnel made of polypropylene, so every single strand enters the sleeve at the first attempt.
• Collar heat resistant up to 105 °C and therefore dimensionally stable in warm control cabinets.
• Sleeve in E-Cu with an electro tin-plated surface of at least 3 µm, which keeps the contact gas tight and low in corrosion.
• Made to DIN 46228, so the ferrules suit common crimping tools with square or trapezoidal dies.
• UL certified, which allows use in installations for the North American market as well.

Applications

Wire end ferrules are used in control cabinet building, building installation, mechanical engineering and maintenance, wherever fine stranded conductors are wired to terminal blocks, circuit breakers or device terminals. The conductor is stripped, the ferrule is pushed on and pressed with a crimping tool.

The ferrules comply with DIN 46228 and are UL certified. They contain no substances of very high concern under REACH and are RoHS compliant.
