An aerosol is not enough when a whole installation has to become dissipative. AstraStat type B is rolled or sprayed and coats laboratory benches, steel cabinets, trolleys and GRP parts in one pass. The set of 4.8 kg base paint and 0.8 kg hardener covers roughly 67 m² at 30 micron dry film thickness.

Applications

Electronics manufacturing and assembly, chemical plants, pyrotechnics and explosion-protected areas. Typical objects are laboratory benches, chairs, trolleys, steel cabinets, plastic panels and containers. Light blue is a common choice for laboratory benches and test stations.

How to apply

• Stir the base paint and mix it with the hardener about a quarter of an hour before use
• Roller: up to 8 percent thinner 4S-VA or at supply viscosity
• Spray: approx. 20 percent thinner 4S-VA, spray viscosity 30 seconds DIN-4
• Clean equipment immediately after use with 4S-VA thinner

Standards and notes

Measuring method to IEC 61340-2-3, use inside an EPA to IEC 61340-5-1. Slight deviations from the RAL shade come from the conductive pigments. Transparent, white, luminous and signal colours cannot be produced. See the safety data sheet for safety information.
