ESD safety low shoe alu-tec 560 S2, waterproof smooth leather, unisex, black - Atlas 27800

Where cleaning water, cutting fluid or oil reaches the shoe, textile does not last long. The alu-tec 560 therefore uses full-grain waterproof smooth leather about 2 mm thick that keeps the foot dry for hours. The ESD function is untouched by this. Measured by the person-shoe-floor method of DIN EN 61340-5-1, Atlas guarantees a resistance below 100 megohms, far tighter than the 0.1 to 1000 megohms that EN ISO 20345 permits for antistatic footwear in the first place.

What the shoe delivers

• S2 in plain words. Everything from S1, meaning a closed heel area, antistatic build and energy absorption in the heel, plus an upper that limits water penetration and water absorption. A penetration-resistant midsole is not part of S2. Anyone working over nails or swarf needs S3.
• Charge dissipation to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The shoe ties the wearer into the personnel grounding of the EPA. Walking from the bench to the machine, the charge drains through sole and floor in a controlled way instead of discharging into the next assembly.
• alu-tec aluminium toe cap rated 200 joules and 15 kN. The anatomically shaped cap meets the test values of EN ISO 20345 and weighs less than steel. It shifts the centre of gravity towards the midfoot and, being thermally neutral, forms no cold bridge into the shoe.
• Full-grain cowhide about 2 mm thick. The waterproof smooth leather stays tight for hours, breathable and dimensionally stable. The carbon-fibre reinforced toe guard takes the abrasion that otherwise eats through the toe first during kneeling work.
• MPU INNOFLEX system with CLOUDZONE. The INNOFLEX LINE guides the forces from heel to toe, the CLOUDZONE cushions the heel strike, and the large MPU tread areas return energy into the next step. Slip resistance SR to EN ISO 20345:2022.
• Width 10, the standard width. Width 10 is the standard width of the Atlas multi-width system and is already cut generously for the foot. The aktiv-X functional lining regulates moisture and dries quickly, the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM combines a pressure-relieving insole with the MPU sole. Approved for orthopaedic insoles to DGUV rule 112-191.

Electronics manufacturing and placement, test and repair benches, assembly, warehouse and dispatch, and workshops where cleaning agents, cutting fluid or oil reach the shoe. For floors with a risk of nails or swarf, a penetration-resistant S3 model is the right choice.
