A low shoe in size 52 with full S3 protection and ESD equipment is hard to find. That is exactly what the BIG SIZE 645 ESD is. A low cut that leaves the ankle free, combined with a penetration resistant stainless steel midsole, a steel toe cap and the ESD equipment required in protected areas to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What this model delivers

• Large sizes without cutting back on protection. EU 51 to 53 on the fitted BIG SIZE last, in full safety class S3. Anyone who otherwise has to fall back on occupational shoes without a toe cap gets toe and penetration protection in the right size here.
• ESD equipment for the EPA. The shoe drains the wearer's charge in a controlled way through the dissipative floor and becomes part of the protection concept to DIN EN 61340-5-1. Without that path every component at the workstation is exposed to a discharge.
• What S3 means in practice. Antistatic, closed and energy absorbing heel area, water repellent upper, penetration resistance and a cleated outsole. The low cut keeps the ankle free, which counts when climbing on and off equipment all day.
• Toe protection and service life. The anatomically shaped steel toe cap is tested to EN ISO 20345:2012 at 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. The abrasion resistant carbon fibre toe guard slows the wear at the toe that appears first during kneeling work.
• Leather and sole for wet routes. The roughly 2 mm full grain waterproof leather keeps the foot dry for hours. The outdoor outsole with 4.5 mm lugs grips on wet and loose ground and reaches slip resistance SRC.
• Inner climate and cushioning. The aktiv-X functional lining actively regulates moisture and dries quickly. The 3D cushioning system of pressure relieving insole and MPU sole absorbs impact. Approved for orthopaedic insoles to DGUV Rule 112-191.
