ESD Safety Low Shoe FLASH 3205 XP BOA S1PS, Mesh Upper, Black/Grey - Atlas 96500

Where electronics work meets drilling, assembly and dismantling, swarf and nails end up on the floor. The FLASH 3205 XP BOA therefore relies on metal-free XP puncture resistance and carries protection class S1PS SR to EN ISO 20345:2022. As an ESD model Atlas keeps the person-shoe-floor resistance below 100 MOhm to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What sets this shoe apart

• Dissipative to DIN EN 61340-5-1. For its ESD models Atlas guarantees a resistance below 100 MOhm for the person-shoe-floor measuring chain. The wearer's charge drains through the sole into the dissipative floor instead of discharging into an assembly.
• XP puncture resistance without metal. The textile insert covers the sole over its full area, weighs less than a steel midsole, leaves the foot its natural torsion and does not trigger metal detection. Tested to EN ISO 20345:2022 with the 3 mm test nail and marked PS.
• BOA Fit System instead of laces. The dial tightens a strong steel lace evenly through low friction guides, can be operated with gloves and readjusted millimetre by millimetre while seated. No lace to catch in a machine.
• alu-tec aluminium toe cap to EN ISO 20345, tested at 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. Aluminium delivers the same protection as steel at clearly less weight and conducts cold less strongly.
• MPU INNOFLEX system as the outsole. Flex grooves support the roll-off, the dynamic plates in the forefoot transfer forward energy and the CLOUDZONE in the heel absorbs impact forces. The MPU REBOUND SYSTEM returns the absorbed energy into the push-off.
• High-tech mesh as the upper. The air texture of the fabric keeps air moving, the foot climate stays comfortable across the shift and the shoe carries clearly less weight than a leather upper.
• The aktiv-X functional lining regulates temperature and moisture, resists abrasion and does not bleed colour. After the shift the shoe dries out quickly.
• Released for insole fitting according to DGUV rule 112-191. An orthopaedic insole may replace the footbed without voiding the type examination.

Standards and conformity

• EN ISO 20345:2022, protection class S1PS with SR slip-resistant outsole. S1 means closed heel area, antistatic properties, energy absorbing heel region and fuel resistant outsole. The addition PS stands for a non-metallic puncture resistant insert tested with the small 3 mm test nail.
• DIN EN 61340-5-1 for the ESD workplace. The shoe is the middle link in the chain of person, shoe and floor and only works together with a dissipative floor covering.
• PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, risk category II.
• DGUV rule 112-191 for insole fitting.
