When ESD sensitive assemblies leave the plant, the risk often sits on the outside of the bag. On the 1500 Series metal-out shielding bag the metal layer is on the outside under a protective top coat, giving a surface of just 1 x 10⁴ to < 1 x 10⁸ ohms that retains less charge than a metal-in bag. The bag shields discharges to below 10 nJ and comes in sizes from 125 x 200 to 255 x 305 mm.

Applications

Shipping PCBs and assemblies to customers and suppliers, spare parts logistics, storage in goods-in and other unprotected areas. Some electronics manufacturers specify metal-out bags explicitly. Store dry and out of direct sunlight, discard damaged bags.

Meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 and ANSI/ESD S541 for shielding packaging inside and outside an EPA, Static Control Bag per ANSI/ESD S11.4 Level 3. Free of amines, n-octanoic acid, silicones and heavy metals, lead-free, RoHS 2, REACH and Conflict Minerals compliant.
