Mini Monitor Continuous Monitor for Wrist Strap and Mat, 10 mm Snap - Desco 19343

A wrist strap that passed its test in the morning can be broken by lunchtime without anyone noticing. The Desco Mini Monitor continuously checks the path-to-ground of one operator and one ESD worksurface and reports any interruption at once. Wave distortion technology uses only 1.2 V at the operator and also verifies the presence of the 1 megohm safety resistor in the wrist strap. This version has a 10 mm park snap.

Applications

Continuous grounding monitoring at ESD workstations in electronics manufacturing, repair and labs where wrist straps are worn. With the 19344 ring magnets it can also be mounted where there is no ESD mat.

Standards

Single-wire impedance design meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 in accordance with ESD TR1.0-01-01. With continuous monitoring, daily wrist strap testing may be omitted (IEC TS 61340-5-4), based on IEC 61340-5-1.
