The Ersa N2 upgrade kit extends the i-Tool soldering iron with a nitrogen feed. During soldering, oxides form when oxygen from the ambient air combines with the solder. By inerting the joint with nitrogen (N2), this effect is significantly reduced. Ersa developed this set to enable N2 inerting during hand soldering with the i-Tool.

An existing nitrogen supply is required to operate the N2 feed. Suitable for soldering tips up to approx. 5 mm that nitrogen can flow through.
