The Ersa i-CON Vario 2 MK2 is an ESD-safe multi-channel soldering and hot-air station that gives the professional user two soldering tools usable at the same time. Alongside the ergonomic i-Tool AIR S hot-air iron (200 W), the 150 W i-Tool can be run for classic soldering, or alternatively the Chip Tool Vario desoldering tweezers (80 W). The compact, ESD-safe supply unit offers the simple, clear operation typical of the i-CON family, interfaces to Ersa fume extraction units and preheating plates, and safe configuration via a microSD memory card.

i-Tool AIR S
The slim, lightweight handpiece carries a 200 W heating cartridge and allows low-fatigue work on a wide range of SMD components. The hot-air volume is set directly on the handpiece and shown on the display of an i-CON Vario 2 or 4 (2 to 20 l/min). Different nozzles ensure optimal heating of the components. A motion sensor switches the hot air off automatically after a programmable time during work breaks, and a light sensor in the handpiece turns the tool on and off.
i-Tool
The i-Tool is an extremely light, powerful fine soldering iron with a broad range of economical long-life tips. 150 W of power deliver the fastest heat-up and recovery behaviour; a process-window alarm, energy power levels and an automatic stand-by sensor provide a high level of process control. The integrated Tip'N'Turn bayonet lock enables quick, simple tip changes and improves performance by 20-25 % compared with a screw connection. Standby power consumption approx. 25 W.
