Vacuum suction cups

Vacuum technology

Aventics vacuum suction cups are available in three form families: flat round suction cups FSR series (75-300 mm diameter), flat standard suction cups FSG (95-150 mm), and bellows suction cups BSG/BSA (85-150 mm). Materials include NBR (standard compressed air), MQ (silicone rubber, food-grade), PUR (soft, for sensitive surfaces), and HNBR (for high-temperature applications). Connections range from G1/4 to G1. The IN (internal connection) and EX (external connection) versions determine whether air is routed inside or outside the gripper arm.

Material selection is governed by workpiece surface condition, temperature, and media compatibility. NBR is the standard material for dry compressed air and general industrial applications. MQ (silicone rubber) is food-grade and heat-stable to approximately 180 °C. PUR offers high flexibility for sensitive or uneven surfaces. HNBR is suitable for elevated temperatures and oily environments. Bellows suction cups (BSG/BSA) compensate for angular deviations and height differences without an external angle compensator unit. The internal connection (IN) enables cleaner line routing through the gripper arm.

Typical applications: Handling of PCBs and SMD components in electronics production (NBR, MQ), gripping of glass panes and ceramic tiles (FSR, large diameters), transport of food packaging and food items (MQ, food-grade), handling of painted and polished metal surfaces in automotive finishing (PUR), and pick-and-place operations in printing and packaging automation.
