Handling systems
The Festo accessory programme for handling modules covers adapter plates, cover sets, and connecting elements that give HSP modules mechanical flexibility and clean compressed air routing. The BPL adapter plate series (BPL-1, BPL-2, BPL-3) defines the mounting interface to the gripper or carrier structure; cover sets BSD-HSP-12 and BSD-HSP-16 seal the module head and route compressed air in an orderly fashion to the working ports.

Adapter plate selection is determined by the bolt hole pitch and flange diameter of the gripper in use. BPL-1 covers the smallest gripper class, BPL-3 the largest. Cover sets are chosen by module type: BSD-HSP-12 for HSP-12 heads, BSD-HSP-16 for HSP-16 heads. The full accessory programme offers over 280 compatible part numbers from the current Festo catalogue.
Typical applications: Retrofitting and expanding existing HSP handling stations, reconfiguring gripper heads after part or format changes, building customer-specific pick-and-place units, and spare parts supply for maintenance and service in series production.
