Barbed fittings
Festo barbed fittings allow tool-free connection of tubing with ribbed or corrugated ends to threaded ports. The ACK series quick fittings (port sizes G 1/8 to G 1/2, tube OD 3-13 mm) snap in by simply inserting the tube and release by pressing a release sleeve. Hose nozzles of the C series (C-1/4-P-6 etc.) mechanically secure tube ends on push-nipples. In addition to brass, plastic variants (-KU) are available, suitable for oil-free and grease-free systems.

Typical applications
Typical applications: Connecting compressed air tubing to pneumatic cylinders, valves, and control devices, compressed air guns and hand tools, tube attachment points in machine installations, and installation in threaded bores of manifold plates and service block assemblies. Plastic variants are preferred in food and pharmaceutical environments with low-oil compressed air.
