Electrically operated process and media valves

Festo VZWP solenoid valves are pilot-operated 2/2-way process valves with M22C coil and piston principle for medium nominal diameters G 1/4 to G 1. The 60-article range uses nominal size codes 130 (G 1/4 to G 3/8) and 250 (G 1/2 to G 1) with seal materials 1P4, 2AP4 and 3AP4. All variants have a 40 mm piston stroke; NC and NO function (V-variants) cover fail-safe requirements.

Pilot-operated piston principle - requires minimum differential pressure to switch; suited for lines with guaranteed pressure differential

VZWP-L-M22C-G12-130-1P4-40 decodes as: L = long body, M22C = coil type, G12 = G 1/2, 130 = 130 mm nominal diameter, 1P4 = NBR seal, 40 = 40 mm piston stroke. V-variants (e.g. VZWP-L-M22C-G12-130-V-1P4-40) are normally open. Pilot-operated piston valves require a minimum differential pressure (typically 0.3-0.5 bar) to switch reliably; the VZWD series is the appropriate choice for zero-pressure applications.

Typical applications: Water supply and drainage circuits with guaranteed line pressure, compressed air isolation in distribution systems with G 1/4 to G 1 connections, control of cooling and lubrication circuits (NBR seal), heating circuit isolation with EPDM seal, and retrofit of existing flanged valve installations using the compatible VZWP series.
