Magnetventile Airtec
Airtec ME-series solenoid valves with external pilot port separate the control air circuit from the line pressure: the solenoid actuates a separate pilot air connection while the main flow passes through the main ports. This design is suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and in applications where line pressure at the installation point is insufficient for direct self-piloting. The ME series covers 3/2-way and 5/2-way switching functions as well as impulse valves in port sizes G 1/8", G 1/4" and G 1/2".
Separate pilot air (external) - solenoid actuates external control channel, independent of line pressure
Suitable for Ex zones - pilot air from safe zone, solenoid located outside the hazardous area
12-230 V DC/AC - HN manual override present on all types
3/2, 5/2-way and impulse - ME 05, ME 07, ME 22 for G 1/8", G 1/4", G 1/2"
230V X-designation version - ME 07311HN 230X for voltage-secured special installations

Typical applications: Control valves in Zone 1 and Zone 2 per ATEX classification (painting, chemical and gas installations); applications with low line pressure at the installation point where direct-acting valves will not switch; control of hydraulic pilot valves with compressed air pilot; applications with long control lines between PLC cabinet and valve.
