A shield frame or a busbar needs a continuous seam, not a line of separate dots. The TSS08-15D lands on 15 mm of blade width, the widest tip in the TSS08 range, with 1.5 mm of material in the blade.

Use and scope of delivery

For soldering shield frames and sheet metal, large area ground connections, busbars, high current connectors and heavy stranded wire. Where 15 mm will not fit, the TSS08-10D is the more compact alternative. The tip fits the QUELKTSS80A iron of the Quick TS8 and TS8+ stations. Supplied as one cartridge tip without iron or station.
