Through-hole terminals and pads on copper areas draw heat faster than a thin tip can supply it. The TSS08-3D therefore uses a 1 mm blade at 3 mm chisel width, the thickest chisel of the 3 mm class in this range, and keeps dwell time short at such joints.

Operating benefits

• Chisel width of 3 mm, large enough for connector pins and through-hole pads yet still easy to place.
• Short cone, the transition from heater to chisel face stays short and solid.

• Built-in thermocouple, correction starts at the joint rather than at the far end of the heater.
• Calibration chip in the cartridge, so the reading stays trustworthy after every tip change.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Suited to through-hole components, terminal blocks, connector pins and joints tied into ground or supply planes, as well as wire ends. Scope of delivery, one cartridge soldering tip. It runs in the QUELKTSS80A handpiece of the Quick TS8 and TS8+ stations. For flatter component fields the 3.2 mm chisel with a 0.85 mm blade is available and fits the same handpiece.
