Soldering tip conical 0.4 mm STTC series 357 °C - Metcal STTC-006

Fine joints on temperature sensitive assemblies need a tip that holds its heat without readjustment. The STTC-006 is a conical soldering cartridge with a 0.4 mm tip diameter and 13.7 mm tip length for the Metcal MX systems. Heating is regulated by the Curie point of the alloy inside the cartridge body, so the 357 °C working temperature is fixed and needs no calibration.

Applications

Suited to rework and repair on SMD assemblies, to QFP and SOIC leads, fine wire joints and test points. The slim profile allows precise work without touching neighbouring parts.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge runs on the MX-H1-AVA and MX-RM3E hand pieces and therefore on the Metcal MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 systems. It is exchanged without tools while the unit stays powered. Delivery covers one single soldering cartridge without hand piece and without power unit.
