Tweezer cartridges conical 0.4 x 19 mm, 357 °C, PTTC 600 series - Metcal PTTC-601

A chip or SOIC package lifts off in one move with a heated tweezer because both lead sides receive heat at the same time. The PTTC-601 cartridge pair supplies 357 °C for this, a working temperature kept deliberately low for sensitive assemblies, conical with 0.4 mm tip diameter over a 19 mm tip length.

Applications

Removing and placing very small chip components and single leads that need a narrow contact face in repair, small-batch production and laboratory work. The low temperature reduces thermal stress on component and board compared with hot air.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

Suits the MX-PTZ handpiece on Metcal MX series power units. Delivery covers one pair of PTTC-601 cartridges, handpiece and power unit are not included.
