If one hand guides the workpiece, it cannot hold the screw on the bit at the same time. This ring magnet is pushed onto the screwdriver bit and keeps the screw there until the thread bites. The 6.00 mm inner diameter is the size 6.0 from the model name and decides which bit the ring fits.
