SMD components cannot be picked up by hand, and ordinary tweezers build up an electrostatic charge. The 92 08 78 ESD SMD precision tweezers have tips angled 45° and 0.5 mm wide and dissipate charges in a controlled way through a tested epoxy coating of 10^3 to 10^9 ohms.

Standards and conformity

The tweezers are tested to DIN EN 61340-5-1 and are dissipative, so they suit ESD protected areas. No VDE test is stated. According to the manufacturer they contain no substances of very high concern under REACH, the RoHS directive does not apply.
