Chip resistors, capacitors, MELF and SOT packages are awkward to lift with a single iron because both terminations have to be molten at the same time. The SHP-KTZ is the tweezer handpiece for the Thermaltronics TMT-2000S and heats both arms so the component is removed in one movement.

Applications
Desoldering and reworking chip components during repair, prototype build and failure analysis. It also suits straightening misaligned parts and short touch ups where a hot air tool would put too much heat into the surrounding area.
Compatibility and scope of delivery
Operates on the TMT-2000PS and Metcal MFR-PS1100 power units. The handpiece ships with the protective pad for tip removal, sold by the piece. Tweezer cartridges are used in pairs and ordered separately to match the component size.
The ESD safe build is intended for workstations inside an EPA to IEC 61340-5-1.
