Digital electrostatic field meter with carry pouch - Safeguard SFM PRO

The Safeguard SFM PRO electrostatic field meter measures electrostatic fields quickly and reproducibly, converting the measured field strength directly into the charge in volts via the set measuring distance. Its conductive plastic housing and high-quality components deliver precise readings for reliable protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD).

A star-shaped induction electrode sits at the top of the instrument; a grounded modulation vane of the same star shape rotates in front of it (field-mill principle). A surrounding ring-electrode system mechanically protects the vane and the field plate. The very high zero-point stability removes the calibration step otherwise required before each measurement.

Standards and compliance

With the optional Charge Plate Set (CPS, not included) the instrument can be extended into a charge-plate monitor for verifying ionizers to IEC 61340-5-1 and EOS/ESD S3.1. The SFM PRO supports an ESD control program in line with the IEC 61340 series.
