A nail, a chip or a piece of cut wire on the shop floor rarely hits the toe cap. It hits the sole. The GX 105 2.0 ESD is the penetration resistant version of the GX 100 2.0 and closes exactly that gap without giving up the ESD equipment or the female last.
What the step up from S1 buys you
- Penetration resistance in stainless steel. The penetration resistant midsole is made from corrosion resistant stainless steel, matched to the last shape and foamed into the midsole material. That is what the P in S1P stands for.
- Charge drainage inside the protection concept. The ESD equipment places the shoe inside the concept of DIN EN 61340-5-1. The wearer charge flows through the sole into the dissipative floor instead of ending on an assembly.
- Toe protection with a tested figure. Anatomically shaped steel toe cap, tested to EN ISO 20345:2012 at 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. The reinforced toe guard slows down wear during kneeling work.
- S1P in plain words. Closed heel area, antistatic, energy absorbing heel and additionally penetration resistant. A water repellent upper is not part of it, which preserves the breathability of the mesh.
- Sporty-Light sole on a female last. Lamella profile with slip resistance SRC, DYNAMIC LINE in the forefoot for forward energy and CLOUDZONE in the heel for impact.
- Climate, cushioning, insoles. The aktiv-X functional lining and the clima-stream concept manage heat and humidity, the 3D cushioning system relieves pressure. Approved for orthopaedic insole fitting under DGUV rule 112-191.
