When BGAs and large SMT parts are removed and replaced, the thermal profile has to carry the whole assembly, not just the joint. The Ersa HR 550 provides 2400 W of three-zone infrared bottom heat and above it a 1900 W hybrid top heater that acts precisely on 70 x 70 mm.
What defines the HR 550
- 1900 W hybrid top heater combining 900 W of medium wave infrared with 1000 W of hot air convection.
- Full area bottom heater rated 2400 W over 390 x 270 mm, split into three separately driven zones.
- Contactless and contacting temperature measurement taken at the component itself for a documented process.
- Vacuum pipette inside the heating head, head and pipette each driven by a stepper motor, a force sensor detects contact with component and board.
- Computer aided component alignment through high resolution cameras with a 70 x 70 mm wide field and a 25 x 33 mm tele field.
- Component range from 0.6 x 0.6 mm to 70 x 70 mm, and down to 01005 parts of 0.4 x 0.2 mm with additional accessories.
