For extraction duties involving flammable gases and vapours the ACD 1200 MD.46 A46 Ex supplies 1,000 m³/h at 1,800 Pa and reaches 1,700 m³/h at up to 2,600 Pa vacuum. Description
Flammable gases and vapours need more than air flow: filters, housing and fan have to stay free of ignition sources. The ULT ACD 1200 MD.46 A46 Ex captures 1,000 m³/h at 1,800 Pa, is tied into an equipotential bonding system throughout and carries an explosion proof fan to ATEX Ex II 2G h IIB T3 Gb.

Limits of use
The unit is designed for dry flammable and non-flammable gases and vapours at concentrations below 20 percent of the lower explosion limit with a low dust content. Gases of temperature classes T1, T2 and T3 with an ignition temperature above 200 °C can be extracted. Installing or operating the unit inside a classified explosive zone is not permitted.
Applications
Bonding, pre-treatment, painting, printing, cleaning, laminating and casting. The flow reserve also supports branched ducting with several capture points, and the unit roof carries a Ø 160 mm mount for an extraction arm.
Compatibility and scope of delivery
Filter set A46 Ex: M5 filter mat (ULT 4-00248), A23 adsorption filter cassette top (ULT 4-00397) and A23 adsorption filter cassette bottom (ULT 4-00396). These are storage filters, replaced completely once saturated and reordered individually under the ULT numbers listed. An operating hour meter for Ex units is available as an option (ULT 9-00100). The filtered clean gas may be returned to the workspace. With carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances recirculation is not permitted, in that case the exhaust spigot is fitted on the outlet side and the clean gas is ducted into a central exhaust system.
