Cable shears for two-hand operation, dip-insulated VDE 1000 V, up to Ø 27 mm, 500 mm - Knipex 95 17 500

On main lines and distribution boards cables up to Ø 27 mm have to be severed, often close to live parts. The 95 17 500 cable shears combine the high leverage of the 500 mm design with dip-insulated handles tested to IEC 60900 for 1000 V.

Areas of use

Power distribution, switchgear construction, cable installation and maintenance on heavy supply lines, including work close to live parts up to 1000 V. According to the manufacturer the shears are not suitable for steel wire and wire ropes.

Standards and conformity

The dip-insulated handles are tested to DIN EN 60900 and IEC 60900 and approved for work on live parts up to 1000 V AC. According to the manufacturer the shears contain substances of very high concern under REACH. The RoHS directive does not apply.
