TO92 die block centre lead spread with 3 lead lock for Supercut/RP - Iteco 7915158N

Where an assembly is turned, buffered or moved over longer distances after insertion, retention on a single lead is often not enough. On the Supercut/RP this die block displaces the centre lead of the TO92 and additionally forms a lock-in loop on all three leads, so that the device is anchored in the board at three points.

Operating features

• Retention on 3 leads - each of the three wires receives a loop, so the device can no longer tilt or drop out before soldering.
• Centre lead displaced - the leads leave the straight row and meet the staggered hole pattern.
• Up to 7000 components per hour - the motorised tape transport of the Supercut/RP advances the reel without manual handling.
• Cut and form in one stroke - the pneumatic tool works vertically from top to bottom.
• Quick block change - the die block can be swapped for another forming shape without dismantling the machine.

Applications

Assemblies that are turned or buffered after insertion, densely populated boards where a tilted TO92 would touch its neighbours, and production lines with strict requirements on component position before wave soldering.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The die block works in the Supercut/RP machines, supplied by Iteco with 12.7 mm tape pitch under 7915.154 and 7915.154A and with 15 mm tape pitch under 7915.155 and 7915.155A. The machines ship without a die block and every forming shape needs its own block. If retention on the centre lead alone is sufficient, Iteco offers block 7915.158M, and for the plain offset without retention block 7915.158L. Supplied as one complete die block. Made in Italy.
