Cutting and preforming machine for taped radial components P=12.7 mm 110 V - Iteco 7915154A

Taped radial components have to be cut to length and curled so that they hold themselves in the printed circuit board before soldering. The Supercut/RP does both in one pneumatic stroke and reaches 7,000 components per hour with its motorized tape feeder. This version is set up for 12.7 mm tape pitch and runs on 110 V.

What the machine does

• The motorized feeder for 12.7 mm pitch is part of the machine, so the operator only loads the reel and the tape is indexed automatically.
• The curl holds the component body clear of the board and locks the lead in the hole, so the part stays in place until soldering without any extra fixture.
• The distance between component body and the start of the curl is adjustable, while curl geometry and cut length stay fixed and repeatable from batch to batch.
• The tool works pneumatically from top to bottom and the die block is exchanged quickly for a different lead form.
• The 110 V supply suits plants that do not run on a 230 V mains, so no isolating transformer is needed.

Applications

Preparation of taped electrolytic and ceramic capacitors, resistors, diodes and LEDs on 12.7 mm pitch tape for through-hole assembly. It pays off wherever batch sizes run into the thousands and the lead length has to stay identical across the whole series.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The machine is supplied with the tape feeder but without a die block. The lead form is defined by the die block of the 7915.158 range, for example 7915.158A for stand-off with lock-in, 7915.158D for a straight cut only or 7915.158F for 90 degree bending. The matching reel holder is the BR3 7915.160 in the 12.7 mm pitch version.
