TO92 die block with centre lead 1.27 mm out for Supercut/RP - Iteco 7915158L

TO92 transistors leave the tape with three leads in one line, while many boards are drilled with a staggered centre pad. On the Supercut/RP this die block moves the centre lead 1.27 mm out of the row and cuts the leads to length in the same stroke.

Operating features

• Offset of 1.27 mm - the centre lead is displaced by exactly one tenth of an inch and matches the staggered hole pattern.
• Repeatable instead of manual - every device gets the same offset, so single leads no longer have to be bent by hand.
• Up to 7000 components per hour - the motorised tape transport of the Supercut/RP advances the reel without manual handling.
• Cut and form in one stroke - the pneumatic tool works vertically from top to bottom.
• Quick block change - the die block can be swapped for another forming shape without dismantling the machine.

Applications

Assembly of small signal transistors, voltage regulators and sensors in TO92 packages on boards with a staggered centre pad, above all in production runs where hand bending causes scatter in the lead pitch.

Compatibility and scope of supply

The die block works in the Supercut/RP machines, supplied by Iteco with 12.7 mm tape pitch under 7915.154 and 7915.154A and with 15 mm tape pitch under 7915.155 and 7915.155A. The machines ship without a die block and every forming shape needs its own block. If the offset centre lead also has to be locked in the board, Iteco offers the blocks 7915.158M and 7915.158N for that purpose. Supplied as one complete die block. Made in Italy.
