The Ersa i-CON VARIO 2 MK2 is an antistatic 2-channel soldering and desoldering station with vacuum pump and the X-Tool Vario desoldering iron (150 W). Two Ersa tools can be operated at the same time; the station works with vacuum and contact soldering (this model has no hot-air module).

The X-Tool Vario is one of the most powerful desoldering irons, offering 150 W heating power, very easy desoldering-tip changes and an easy-to-clean residual-solder container. It is designed for the most demanding desoldering of conventional components on high-mass printed circuit boards; use desoldering tips of the 0742ED series. Every tool has an acceleration sensor that, once the tool is set down, automatically activates a standby mode (150-300 °C) or a hibernation state (room temperature) and reheats to operating mode within seconds when moved.

All functions are integrated in a central supply unit with simple i-Op operation and a clear display. The station provides interfaces to automatically switch on Ersa fume extraction units (via standby signal), to control Ersa infrared preheaters, plus a USB port and a microSD slot for updates. It is ideally suited for use in ESD protected areas.
